Career Opportunities

foothills-landscaping-careersFoothills Landscaping hires hard working and enthusiastic landscape labourers between the end of March and the beginning of October. If you love the smell of fresh-cut grass, want to stay in great shape, and look back with pride at what you’ve just helped create, we might just have a job for you.

Periodically, we also hire Foremen and Women, Lead Hands, Class 1 and 3 Drivers, Track Hoe and Skid Steer Operators, and others. Check back periodically to see what’s up for grabs.

We also believe strongly in continuing education for our employees. Journeyman (and woman) Landscape Gardeners learn all aspects of the horticulture industry, from nursery and greenhouse production methods to irrigation systems and surveying. This leads to a whole-system understanding of the work that we do, be it construction or maintenance.

LGAP: the Landscape Gardener Apprenticeship Program

We consistently send more students through the LGAP than any other private sector employer in the province because we know what skilled tradespeople can do. Employees who are interested are actively encouraged to enroll, and are guided through the trade by the team of Journeymen and women that continue to work for us today. For more information on all trades training in Alberta, see http://www.tradesecrets.gov.ab.ca/, or for information more specific to the LGAP, check out Olds College [Logo]

LCIT: Landscape Industry Certified Technician

We also support employees seeking additional certification through the LICT program offered through the Landscape Alberta Nursery Trades Association. Find out more by visiting the Canadian Nursery and Landscape Association at [Logo]
